Auditions

The Choir is always looking for talented new singers!  Auditions may be scheduled by calling Ralph Woodward, Artistic Director, at 801-537-1412.  The choir operates on a semester schedule, like the school year, with rehearsals leading up to major performances in December and in May. Auditions can be scheduled anytime, but depending on the time of year, a child accepted into the choir might not actually start rehearsing with the choir until the following September or January. To audition for the choir, young musicians should be between ages 8 through 15.

Widely admired for its artistry and pure, angelic sound, the choir emphasizes correct vocal development and the use of the world’s outstanding vocal literature. It has has appeared with many celebrated artists and organizations–including recordings with the Utah Symphony and Mormon Tabernacle Choir, and has been heard on Public Radio International and American Public Media, as well as on numerous television and film sound-tracks. You can hear them every year at the Cathedral of the Madeleine during the first weekend of December.  Other performances dates and venue vary, so please follow us on Facebook, or check back here often.
